Parcours du patrimoine | Du bourg de Case-Navire à la ville de Schoelcher
The town of Schoelcher represents the urban fringe of Fort-de-France, but this suburb has its own rich historic heritage, attesting to the evolution of the large village of Case-Navire from its origins to today.
Many houses and buildings, little-studied until today, illustrate this four-century-long history. This Parcours du Patrimoine reveals the lesser-known aspects of Martiniquan heritage through the history of the commune of Schoelcher and some fortuitous discoveries.
